Glide Wax

A hard-sealing paraffin wax that is applied to the running surface of the skis to enhance glide and to protect the base materials from oxidation and wear.

Glide wax is normally applied to the entire base of telemark and skating skis, but only to the tail and tip zones of touring skis. They are usually applied with heat for added durability.
