Counter-Rotation
Also known as Contre Rotation (French) or Contra Rotation.
The simultaneous twisting of the upper body and legs in opposite directions to enable the tails of the skis to slide round. When turning, the legs turn into the turn, whilst the body turns outward.
Note that counter-rotation (or countering) is not a deliberate move, but happens as a result of the skier turning their skis under their body, with separation.
