Adaptive Skiing

A form of skiing that allows skiers with disabilities to participate in alpine skiing by using special equipment.

For example, athletes who are unable to stand up may use a seated ski known as a mono ski, whilst leg amputees can either ski on one limb using long outriggers (crutches with skis on the end), or they may race on 2 skis using a prosthetic limb.
